From researching to contracting and delivery, ADS responded quickly

Tyndall Air Force Base suffered billions of dollars of damage from Category 5 Hurricane Michael in 2018. Nearly every structure on the base was damaged, providing an opportunity to design the base of the future from the ground up during the rebuild. However, that project is years away from completion and Tyndall is a huge base with significant strategic operations.

In the interim, ADS, Inc. helped source, procure and deliver solutions so Tyndall’s thousands of airmen can complete their mission. ADS delivered what Tyndall squadrons needed when they needed it, including semi-permanent hangars that protect valuable aircraft, fuel bladders and power boxes.

As Tyndall Air Force Base demolished damaged building, they needed to quickly procure and build semi-permanent solutions. ADS’ team jumped into action to deliver solutions to the requirements—and fast.

Our Process

Step 1: Contact

We reach out to our network of thousands of suppliers to see who has products that meet our customers’ needs and which ones are in stock, ready to deliver.

Step 2: Identify

Help identify the best contract vehicle based on timeline and budget.

Most of Tyndall’s solutions went through DLA’s Tailored Logistics Support Program (TLSP), but supplemental purchases were made at base supply stores or on credit cards. ADS offers 65+ ways to buy, but we chose to use DLA for this project because it’s an extremely efficient contract vehicle.

ADS is a participating vendor in both the Special Operational Equipment (SOE) and the Fire & Emergency Services Equipment (F&ESE) DLA TLS Programs. These dynamic DLA contracts offer all military services and federal agencies access to the latest commercial off-the-shelf equipment, services, and training.

Step 3: Deliver

Ensure products are delivered on time, on target and meet all expectations.

Our team doesn’t stop when we receive delivery notification. We ensure the user is set up for success for the life of the equipment. For many Tyndall deliveries, ADS’ team was on-site, helping with the install.
