PROVEN PERFORMANCE
Customer: US Military
CHALLENGE
As fires raged in California in the summer of 2020, they were looking for a solution to put out the flames from above. That same summer, The USS Benhomme Richard, a Navy Warship designed to support the Marine Corps operations, caught fire while docked at the Naval Base San Diego on July 12.
SOLUTION
Bambi Buckets were used to quickly battle more than a dozen locations under fire. Designed specifically for aerial firefighting, this unique bucket can hold up to 11,000 pounds of water at a time. The same teams putting out California wildfires provided aerial firefighting support to battle the blaze aboard the amphibious assault ship.
READINESS, WHEN IT MATTERS MOST
The aerospace industry is rapidly growing with cutting-edge technology. On the flip side, this equipment often has a lifespan extending decades, requiring support long after the delivery date. Aircraft depends on legacy—and sometimes obsolete—equipment. Parts obsolescence negatively impacts a variety of programs and capabilities. Defining the issue is not as easy as simply saying that a part is not made anymore. Parts obsolescence also includes components that are incapable of supporting newer, more technologically advanced platforms and equipment.
ADS supports the procurement process from start to finish, removing administrative burdens so you can focus on the mission in front of you. Aerospace capabilities include:
-
Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE)
-
Aircraft Flight Simulation Systems and Aircrew Training Equipment
-
Air Traffic Control Systems
-
Air Crew Life Support Systems
-
Avionics Equipment
-
Aircraft Engines and Components
-
Airframe Components
-
Aerospace Paints, Sealants and Adhesives
-
Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)
OBSEOLESCENCE MANAGEMENT
Aircrafts depend on legacy, and sometimes obsolete equipment. Parts obsolescence negatively impacts a variety of programs and capabilities. Defining the issue is not as easy as simply saying that a part is not made anymore. Parts obsolescence also includes components that are incapable of supporting newer, more technologically advanced platforms and equipment.
For the military, the issue of obsolescence is a challenging one because the critical systems that the obsolete components support cannot simply be abandoned. When possible, we source any existing or compatible solutions. Alternatives include integrating a new component or redesigning an existing system.
Rapid Acquisition
ADS Specializes in solving problems by connecting customers with the right suppliers. Through our thousands of long-standing supplier relationships, we quickly source and deliver equipment so you can avoid long lead times, quality issues and contracting difficulties.
MODERNIZATION & SUSTAINMENT
Rapidly changing requirements, growing threats, shrinking budgets and legacy infrastructure are just a few of the hurdles you face. Finding the right products and services is only part of the solution. No matter where your requirement is in its lifecycle, we can help. Whether it's thinking outside the box to modernize existing equipment, scouting technology, providing additional training or product lifecycle management, we'll be with you every step of the way.
FINDING ROOT CAUSES OF INTERMITTENT SYSTEM FAILURES
The continued evolution of electronic and electrical systems is inevitable. However, the tools and skills needed to maintain these systems are falling further and further behind, turning many items of modern life into discardable components when usefulness or functionality is lost. In the past, when a consumer products experience problems, a trip to the local repair shop was the solution.
