Research and Development Detonation Chamber (the PDC 0.05) is designed for scientific investigations, research and development and testing of energetic materials. The PDC is designed and built in accordance with MIL-STD 398. The PDC increases efficiency of your laboratory by eliminating the need of transporting energetic material to an external detonation site, thereby allowing the laboratory to safely test energetic material on site. The PDC family of models is capable of absorbing and dissipating detonation shock waves and explosion heat of 50,000 detonations of various weights of TNT over a 10 year period. It can easily be attached to the existing outlet ventilation system and requires no special infrastructure for the installation and operation of the chamber. The PDC can be equipped with a view port that can be utilized for optical and measurement instruments for the analysis of the detonation process. An additional view port can be installed to accommodate additional viewing instruments. These internal viewing ports are replaceable by using everyday tools.
