Interested in the most cutting-edge defensive and offensive drone tactics? Performance Drone Works (PDW) will present a summary of their five-day manual UAV course.
Warrior Expo East attendees who register for the one-hour training will experience a snapshot of the five-day, hands-on course designed to give elite military operators with no prior manual UAV experience functional competency in the safe operation and effective piloting of high-performance manual UAVs.
The curriculum informs participants on all things required for the safe and effective usage of FPV quadcopter drones for in-field use.
Day 1: Classroom
LEARN & BUILD
Overview of FPV flight, equipment, RF technologies, drone input control and live demonstration. Drone assembly module provides participant the change to build a drone from start to finish.
Day 2: Simulator
PRACTICE VIRTUALLY
Full day of virtual flying using DRL’s state-of-the-art FPV simulator intended as a 1:1 replica of a performance drone that replicate world flight with accurate physics. Participant completes engaging lesson series.
Day 3/4: Flight
START SMALL
Participant will receive an in-depth instruction on radio transmission necessary for FPV flight in addition to gaining experience flying an ultra-durable small-scale FPV training drone.
Day 5: Advanced Flight
FULL MANUAL FLIGHT
Under the instruction of a professional DRL pilot, participants will operate a race-equipped Racer3 craft through various courses designed to simulate real-world environments.

With the increase in workplace violence, school shootings, and domestic terrorism across our nation, PFC created a course designed for participants to learn how to assess, react to, and survive rapidly unfolding active violence events.
What type of leader will people willingly follow into harm's way? How do you become that leader? This instructional clinic on operational leadership answers these questions through lecture and short exercises.
Some use-of-force scenarios are unavoidable, based on studies of career offenders and assailants. Therefore, armed professionals must be educated, aware, and prepared-physically and intellectually.
Following a discussion on End of Year (EOY) funding strategies, attendees will participate in an open forum Q&A session with speakers from NIB, GSA, DLA, and Source America.
