Observation-Class Vehicles to Be Used by Mobile Explosive Disposal Units Worldwide
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. January 17, 2017 – Virginia Beach-based ADS, Inc. has selected Teledyne SeaBotix to provide 60 new underwater remotely operated vehicles under a multi million-dollar contract with the Department of Defense, ADS officials announced.
The equipment will be delivered as part of a Department of Defense operational capability upgrade.

The SeaBotix vLBV 300 systems will be fitted with a range of commercial off-the-shelf equipment, including SeaBotix‘s unique tracked crawler attachment skid, imaging sonar, tooling options, altimeter and USBL/GPS navigation capability, Eyre said. They will also feature the Teledyne Marine autonomous ROV navigation package, SmartFlight.
