Expeditionary mission readiness requires rapidly deployable and energy efficient camp solutions. ADS, Inc. provides commanders with easily procurable solutions that enable power projection in austere environments with limited infrastructure. A scalable expeditionary camp can include force protection systems and physical security barriers, shelter systems, power generation, water purification and distribution and environmental support – all of which can be easily procured and delivered in a timely manner when it matters most.
Clean water is critical to mission success and is essential to the overall health of the soldier. During deployment or disaster response, soldiers may find themselves in an austere environment where a water source is available, but the quality of the water is in question. Drinking contaminated water may provide some sustenance, but the sickness that follows can sideline a soldier for days to weeks.
- Provide Pure Drinking Water
- Improve Hygiene & Quality Of Life
- Reduce Waste (Bottles)
A reliable collection, purification, storage and distribution system is required for water use in medical treatment, ablution units, utilities, laundry facilities, and troop feeding. Access to potable water OCONUS can be subject to host nation environmental regulations. Contracting truckable, potable water becomes costly and dangerous when factoring transportation and manpower costs to replace bottled water regularly.
Installing a base camp water purification solution capable of treating salt, brackish and freshwater sources offers immeasurable benefits to health, hygiene and quality of life.
Survivor Water Desalinator
Using the same reverse osmosis membrane as those in shipboard desalinators, Katadyn’s compact, hand-powered emergency desalinator can make drinkable water from seawater. Light and compact, its patented Energy Recovery System takes advantage of stored energy in the high-pressure reject water that is typically wasted. The pressurized reject water is recirculated to the back side of the piston to aid the next stroke, resulting in less work to achieve fresh water.
Aspen Water Self-Powered Fresh Water Man Portable Purifiers
Using water drawn from ditches, rivers, lakes or standing water that may contain chemical and/or biological contamination, the ASPEN 5500M water purification system can supply 15,000 to 20,000 liters per day of highly purified water from virtually any non-saline water source, while the ASPEN 3300M can supply 9,000 to 12,000 liters per day. These purifiers have their own built in solar charging systems and storage batteries to run six to eight hours a day off solar and can also be powered by military vehicles.
Aspen Water 2000DM Remote Military Water Purifier – Portable
The ASPEN 2000DM is a remote water solution that is energy efficient, portable and purifies fresh water, brackish water, as well as sea water. This water purification system will supply 1,500 to 2,000 gallons per day of highly purified water from virtually any water source. The complete package can be powered by the RDLS IV system or by military vehicles.
Rapidly deployable, transportable and energy efficient shelter systems are the key to improved quality of life for the warfighter, and mission effectiveness. These systems provide increased energy efficiency, enhancing security through a smaller logistics footprint.
ADS understands the critical infrastructure role that expeditionary shelter systems provide in order to sustain and maintain an initial, temporary or semi-permanent military presence in austere environments.
- Provide Environmental Protection
- Improve Habitation & Quality of Life
- Reduce Fuel Consumption (R-Values)
- Increase Mobility with Portable Structures
We work hand-in-hand with shelter manufacturers—ranging from soft-walled tents to insulated, relocatable buildings—to provide custom and compliant shelter solutions designed to meet a variety of mission, budget, and deployment timelines.
Containerized Expandable 20-foot Systems, E2S2
An energy efficient, lightweight, rapidly deployable shelter, the BERG Manufacturing E2S2 can be configured to medical facilities, kitchens/dining facilities, laboratory, billeting, data control centers, command centers or hygiene centers (latrine, shower, laundry). A robust E2S2 base structure can be fully integrated with electrical, plumbing, communication, security and climate control features based on customer requirements.
For soldiers, harnessing and maintaining power is essential for operating effectively. Up to 60 percent of base camp generator power goes to environmental control, according to the U.S. Army, the Army Material Systems Analysis Activity and Project Manager Expeditionary Energy and Sustainment Systems.
Whether it’s a fuel efficient, hybrid power generation solution or an off-the-grid net zero power solution, heating or cooling with reduced electrical energy consumption offers many benefits in austere expeditionary environments.
- Reduce Fuel Consumption
- Reduce Maintenance
- Reduce Noise
- Improve Habitation & Quality of Life
- Improve End User Safety
The Bren-Tronics 48V 100Ah 5kWh Li-Ion battery is an advanced energy solution for use in multiple applications including solar energy systems, generators, smart grid applications, UPS backup power systems and more. This innovative system can be used for backup power of critical equipment and can be paralleled together to increase capacity when needed.
Sourcing, acquiring and delivering these products is a huge undertaking for any Commander, not to mention when you consider external factors such as host nation support, environmental conditions, budgetary constraints, etc. ADS offers a single point source of acquisition for the most difficult of requirements and shorter lead times than both the traditional full and open contract procurement process and DLA’s stock system.
- PROVEN EXPERIENCE: Expeditionary camp construction, operations, and deconstruction
- CONVENIENT AND TIMELY CUSTOMER ACQUISITION: DLA-managed contracting vehicles
- CAMP SPECIFICATIONS AND PLANNING FACTORS: Compliant with DoD expeditionary and Contingency Camp construction doctrine
- DFAR-COMPLIANT ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
